BBQ Baked Cowboy Beans

- 1 pound ground turkey (original recipe called for beef)
- 1 medium sweet onion, chopped (original recipe called for ½ cup)
- ¼ cup ketchup
- ¼ cup barbecue sauce (I used sweet baby ray's)
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- 2 Tbs. molasses
- 1 Tbs. chili powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. pepper
- 2 Tbs. mustard
- 1 can pork 'n beans
- 1 can kidney beans, drained
- 1 can pinto beans, drained
- ½ pound bacon, cooked and crumbled
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- In a large sauté pan, cook ground turkey (or beef) until browned, breaking up and stirring as it cooks. Add onion and cook until tender. Drain off any excess grease.
- In a large bowl, combine all the the ingredients, except the cooked bacon. Stir well.
- Pour into a 2 quart casserole dish or crockpot. Top with bacon.
- Bake for one hour, OR cook in slow cooker on HIGH for 1 hour, then reduce to LOW for 2-4 hours.
